Just 50 Cents: Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the money go?

All donations collected from Just 50 Cents campaigns are used by the Global Network to advocate for the control and elimination of NTDs. Our grassroots efforts support the Global Network’s ongoing efforts in advocacy and resource mobilization to address the impact of NTDs in communities worldwide.

How much effort is involved in running a Just 50 Cents campaign?

A campaign can be as time-intensive as you like. It can be as simple as putting out a canister and NTD information in your school, workplace, or place of worship, or as involved as organizing a benefit concert or 5K run.

How do I send the money to the Global Network?

To make a donation by credit card, use our secure website.

Donations by check or money order should be made out to:
Sabin Vaccine Institute c/o the Global Network.
Please mail to:
Sabin Vaccine Institute

Do you provide materials to help with the campaign?

The Global Network can provide information and materials to groups who let us know of their campaign by completing the Lead a Campaign form. Once the form is received, the Global Network will contact the group to discuss the campaign and how we can provide help.

Can I create my own materials or merchandise to go along with the campaign?

You can be as creative as you like with the campaign. We do ask, however, that you run your ideas by us if you plan to create any additional merchandise or information sheets to go along with the campaign.

Do I have to be part of a group to start a campaign?

No. As long as you have the energy to get people excited about the NTDs, feel free to take the lead on a campaign.

What is the Just 50 Cents Campus Challenge?

The Just 50 Cents Campus Challenge is designed to give students like YOU the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by becoming a Student Ambassador and fighting the world’s most neglected tropical diseases. The student that leads a Just 50 Cents Campaign and raises the most money to fight NTDs will win a four‐week paid internship with the Global Network in Washington, D.C., plus $1,000 for housing. If the student raises over $5,000, the internship will include an all-expense paid trip to an NTD treatment site in Africa or Latin America. Visit the website for official rules and details.

Can I donate to the Global Network without starting a Just 50 Cents campaign?
